Just as we sing unto the Lord with praise and worship, so do we dance in praise and worship unto the Lord.  "Bless the Lord O my soul and let all that is within me bless His holy name," (Psalm 103:1)  At Sturbridge Worship Center, there is freedom to worship the Lord through playing instruments, singing, dancing, flags, streamers, etc.  On Sunday mornings, our dance team may lead with flags or movements around the sanctuary.

During special times such as Easter and Christmas the dance team will minister a dance to the congregation.  The purpose is to 1. uplift the name of the Lord and to worship Him with celebration and thanksgiving and 2. to communicate the heart of God to the people as the Lord uses the dance to minister, heal and bless.

As an extension of the dance ministry, there are also a variety of classes held at different times, open to all. Some of these include our Rhythm Worship aerobic class, How to use billow cloths and flags, and Expressive Worship and Sign.  The purpose of these classes is to teach a base level of movements so that all may be able to worship God in movement, with all that is within them.
